That French plate is next to worthless, it was only put there because by French law you lot need to have the vehicle weight displayed.

 

Body Numer Plate:

 

Style 62 = Model year 1962 (03/09/1961 - 26/09/1962)

 

4 = Buick

 

8 = Electra 225

 

67 = convertible

 

BL = Buick's Linden, New Jersey factory

 

1184 Production number

 

Trim 870-2 = Red leather/vinyl trim

 

Paint CC = Artic White/Artic White (upper and lower body colour)

 

 

 

The VIN plate from the door is a wee bit strange, because it's for a model year 1961 Electra 225:

 

8 = Electra 225

 

1 = Model year 1961

 

6 = Linden, New Jersey factory

 

022034 = Linden production number for model year 1961
